Family Activities

If anyone has a favorite family activity they like to do and wouldn't mind sharing it please do so. I'm trying to think of different things to do with the family. Whether it's going somewhere or something done at home any ideas would be great.

My husband and I are big into board games when money is tight and there isn't much else to do. We play a lot of Scrabble or cards. We also like to go hiking and take photos of landscapes. We live near the moutains so there is always a nice view to capture.

How about going to an amusement park together? As for things to do at home there's always board games, watching a movie, making a meal together, decorating the house for the holiday, etc. What ages are your kids? A lot can depend on that.
