40% of children today are born out of wedlock. Will this affect our society in the long run? Is it affecting our society today? Will it get worse?

The affect on society does is not due to the fact that children are born out of wedlock. There are children born to marriages that end up in divorce. Many parents abandon their children either before or after they are born. It doesn't matter whether the parents were married or not. We as a society need to fix the problems with our youth. There aren't enough programs to help with the children's needs. Even in small towns there is a problem. People tend to ignore the fact that the young people need to have something fun to do with their time. Many spend time walking the streets. How productive is that?

SO 40% are born out of wedlock and of the other 60%, half of those marriages end in divorce. So what does that mean? 70% of kids are being raised by a single parent household?
