I think not. I am able to play 3 musical instruments, but I have studied a lot, and I can't play them very well, as I would like to. What is your experience with musical instruments? Have you started to learn when you were young or not? I have started one instrument when I was 9, and the others when I was 20.

It depends of the persons. I'm able to play 3-4 instruments. I started when i was 10 with a keyboard 17 with classic guitar then at 18 yo i bought an electric guitar then a bass. My instrument is guitar, and I learnt all by myself. It was hard at the begining but with my music passion i go on and i never give up. So I think the important thing is to play constanlty an instrument.

It is not easy to start out.
I started taking piano when I was in 3rd grade. I only took lessons for a few years. In 6th grade I started playing clarinet and played until I graduated high school. I think once you learn one instrument, it is a little easier to pick up another.

Yes, I think so, I agree with your position. If you already know how to play one instrument, it's easier to start to play another one.

Have you been a guitarist for a long time? Are you good with guitar? I know it's very difficult.

I am able to play several instruments. I started learning the trumpet when I was around 7, then a few years late I learned the trombone. In jr high music class I learned how to play clarinet, sax and the flute. The hardest one that I found was the trombone, the others were fairly easy for me.

If one just have the motivation to learn the instrument i think its quite "easy". And as long as one enjoy playing it, it should be easy. Nevertheless, it will take some time to learn it properly. I have played guitar for about 4 years now, althoug i don't practise so much all the time..

Don't worry, it's not impossible for you to learn how to play guitar, I know a lot of people who started to play when they were 20 and older!

I think its depends on how much you enjoy it...I play a couple, it was hard at first but it became easier to push myself when I started playing in different bands.

It is really hard starting on your first one. I remember how hard it was learning how to read music and understanding rythm. But, I think once you know one instrument it makes it a little easier to learn others.

It all depends on the instrument. Drmbs probably. But something like the piano or violin, then you may run into a few problems. It will take time but you will get it.

I am the owner of a music lesson establishment and it really all depends on the student. If there is a real desire there to learn, then I have seen students go from not playing well to good soloing in a year. It all depends on the teacher too. We have a teacher who is unbelievable working here, he has 90 students a week and not one has left in a year, some other teachers have a drop off or two monthy, but my golden teacher is unreal, he knows how to keep all his students happy ranging from the 4 year old piano to the teenage guitar to the professional artists who come in to improve their fretboard advanced skills. It's all in the teacher and the students individual desire to learn.
