bamboo or rivermaya...

hey guys, did you know that Bamboo's vocalist Francisco Mañalac was formerly the lead singer of Rivermaya (but i think that was way back when i was still in elementary level; still remember "Elesi", watch the musicvid of that song and you'll see what i mean).. Anyway, i think Bamboo and Rivermaya is quite on the same level in terms of performance and music composition.. But personally i'd pick out Rivermaya for their figuratively solemn style of delivering a certain message and meaning through their songs. really liked the way they did 214, 241, You'll be safe here, etc.. And yes, Rico blanco is certainly out there for having lotsa talents and all.. Francisco's powerful voice can really get you jamming along with the music.. anyway, i'd give thumbs up to both of them if i'm given the chance to vote for the best filipino bands today.. Mabuhay ang OPM!! at ang Pinoy!!.. tnx pipol! ciao!

i like them both... bamboo has a good voice but the rivermaya has better songs than bamboo...

I love them both.They songs are both great. That i can't even decide which of them is better. I want to see them in concert. Go guys.

i love them both. bamboo and rivermaya had prove their talents and had more to show. their songs are very much related to our present problems here in the Philippines. rivermaya and bamboo rocks!

Hi to the both bands Bamboo and Rivermaya especially their fans here in Philippines and abroad! Personally, I think there are several factors that will make one person decide on this specific POLL. (hehehe) The factors may include voice quality, band recognition, band name, etc. or perhaps endorsements will matter, too. And to tell you, there's something called "spirit" from all bands, and that's what I'm looking for - "their band's spirit". What does this mean? Just simple, the type of songs, the nature of their songs/lyrics and of course, the song's relevance to us! i would personally choose Bamboo from among all bands here... firstly, the band discreetly expose the current societal, economic and political issues/controversies hounding our country (PHILS.)and that's of course if you're gonna read between the lines on their song's lyrics....secondly, Bamboo Manalac (band's vocalist) has a GREAT VOICE!
