OH wow! That is awesome! I have sold on ebay but my auctions never really got many bids! :( I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am too lazy to get my stuff together, take pictures and set up the auctions! :( But good for you! ;)

Sometimes this happens to me but I wait a week or two and relist, The trick about listing is only comment to five at a time won't be that many pictures and try to find similiar items already listed and copy and paste. It works for me and saves time.

I get mad when others plagiarize what I spent a long time writing. Once I was selling a 1907 Cornet, and it involved a LOT of research to figure out what the serial number meant and when and where it was made. And someone else saw it, had one too, and put their up and it sold for more, with my EXACT description! I was so mad! If they had asked, it might have been okay. But they just stole my research and made money off it.

Sorry, did you say you did research and than put every bit of your research in your own words. Buddy get over it, if you are selling the exact same item as some else why would you waste your valable time retyping all the extras. I use my own picture and normally there are lots of the same exact items - like the one that I sold. It was a camera and the person I copied and pasted type the info as it appeared on the packaging, who copied who.

some people say it is scam, because somethime the seller get's the amount of the lowest bid for example 100$ for something that is worth 1000$, is this true? You cant be obligid, right

I've had it happen before where I put something up that was worth $2,000 and it only went to $500. You can set a reserve but I did not. The thing ended up not really selling because the out of country buyer never sent the check. So that was the end of me selling things to people out of the country.

I guess this could happen, I have heard people paying 500.00 and selling for 2300.00 so it works both ways. Set a reserve if you are worried. I always do a rearch to see if simialer items are selling and what the auction end for. Smaller items I take my chance. I once sold a used harley davidson jacket for $80.00. I owned the jacket for 5 years, yes I paid over $200.00, but I wore the jacket and no longer like the design. So salvation army and garage sale would have brought me near to nothing ebay was the way to go. I still have a garage sale for those other items that won't sell or hadr to ship.

Thanks for sharing that info. I'm a seller on ebay too, but I am an artist. I watercolor and am a rare scissor silhouette cutting artist. Look at my website: www.mgcreativearts.com If you get a chance, watch my short video on the home page. On ebay...my prices are very low as it is an auction. it's under artsgiftsandsilhouettes.

I love Ebay. It is my fulltime job, and I make a fulltime income. Some days it is annoying, but then I have to remind myself that being my own boss is worth it all.

I found the problem I have with Ebay is that sometimes things don't sell and then I still get charged a fee. And I hate going to the post office for small items, so I tend to only sell things that will fetch at least $50. I do need to sell some college textbooks soon though. Before they are outdated! I love buying things on Ebay. For a few months I stopped buying things, but now I'm once again on there buying things whenever I have money in Paypal.

I buy a lot from ebay, i often considered selling but i thought there may be too much in it and not a lot of money, but i may just try it after reading your comments, i suppose i could find something to sell, somewhere i already have a camera to take the piccies and i have been set up with paypal for about a year and a half, so i think i'll give it a go. Thank you for starting this discussion.

Once in awhile I sell things on ebay, mostly things from around the house that we don't need anymore. I haven't sold anything recently but back in July I made $223.

The only thing that can hinder you sometimes are the listing & final value fees. You have to make sure you'll make a nice size profit with what you're selling otherwise it won't be worth it. For instance products that would sell around $3.00 wouldn't be worth you listing individually on Ebay because you would actually end up paying a fee. Its best to group these small items together with other items and sell them as a bundle.

Pay with a credit card, if it doesn't show up you can dispute the charges and get your money back. I only buy things with credit cards on Ebay, I have gotten stiffed a few times. So if you can dispute it, it is much easier to get your money back for larger purchases.

Ebay is very safe. No scams. I have sold and purchased off ebay. I use paypal or credit card. If you choose credit card you can always call card company if merchandise does not arrive.

To open a sellers account you have to put some kind of credit card information in that they deduct the fees from.

After you sell something you can go in and pay the fees and they won't deduct them. But they have to have a credit card on file just to open the account. What I did though, was I requested the paypal debit card. Works as a mastercard. Then put that one on there.

I love Ebay! We have been sellers and buyers for over 6 years. We sell a ton of stuff and and could post in our sleep. As for buying, it is the best place to find absolutely anything you are looking for. It is amazing what you can find on Ebay and most sellers are awesome! If you're just starting out I suggest building feedback first by buying a few items. Sellers with a rating under 10 get less money for their auctions because people have a hard time trusting new sellers.

I have sold all kinds of things on Ebay. Sold several arcade games for well over $1000 each. Sold some fishing lures for over $100 each. One week I think I made over $3000 on Ebay. All on stuff that people give my husband. He is in and out of peoples houses doing service and people just give him things, he loads it up and I let him play with it for a few days then I put it up on Ebay if it is worth anything.
