Online Friends

Yes... I have forum community (O2jam community) and we already gath. weheheh it's fun

I have met many friends online, but have only met about 5 in person. I never give out my home address or phone number. I have always met them in a public place and took a friend along to sit at the other side of the restaurant/mall/ or where ever we are. This is to protect me because it is scarry to meet people off of the internet. Women pretend to be men online and men will pretend to be women. They do this to build a best friend style relationship. I have only met one person off of the internet that actually scared me, but that was because the person lied about their identity-- I was to be meeting a female who appeared to be the best friend style, a man showed up. I left pretty quick.

have met some online peeps online and in real time as well. After the last meeting my husband said no more...lol he would go with me to meet my online girlfriends and the last ones we met the one was totally different from what she was online. A wacko and he said no more. lol .... Him and I met online oveer 10 years ago and this August we will have been married 8 years...woohoo

I have made many friends online but i have never met anyone in person as most of my friends live in other countries... So its very difficult to meet them

Yes, I've met quite a few that we're friends at the time & then we ended up meeting in person. Some turned out being really amazing people, others we're some bad, yet really painful experiences that I'd love to just forget.. You have to really be so careful when meeting some people off the net. Because some pretend to be someone there not & then you end up finding that out when you meet them in person.. It really makes you NOT want to meet others that you've met online. I'd have to say though that I met my other half online. We started off as being friends & had chatted for two years or a year & a half straight. And then ended up meeting. We've been together for two years now, & I've known him for four. So sometimes starting off as being friends online is the best way to start out. You just have to be careful who you want to meet in person. I feel if a person keeps pushing you to meet them in person, that's just a really bad sign right then & there. Someone who is pushy. And I've had those types in the past, I don't converse with them anymore since pushy to me is a warning sign. So I guess one really good experiences stays with me everyday. Which was meeting my other half. And we're still extremely happy together after this long. But when it comes to befriending others & then meeting them in person.. I'm more cautious now as you need to be in this day & age!

Yes, I've been on a number of music-related boards/email lists/ discussion groups, and I've met a number of them at concerts over the years. It's a good way to find friends who have similar interests, and of course if you ever have an extra ticket for a concert (or need one) you can see if one of your friends can help.
