There is a lot of this going on in Mylot. Also, many are not designating the best response to their discussions. I spend a lot of time reviewing responses, choosing the best one for the discussion, and rating the responses. It does take time, but I feel that if someone can post a response to my discussion, I can rate it and award the best response to the one I feel worthy. I try to leave a comment to each response, but when the discussion gets many responses (I have over 200 on one discussion), it is hard to keep up with them.

I know what you mean. We can only do the best we can. I, like you, try to rate and respond back as much as possible. Some days, I just reply back from my posts.
Thanks for replying to so many of mine, as I have tried to do a lot of yours too. You get another + for this one.

Yes I have noticed this even with the change that was made in mylot rules this still continues. Some just keep putting up discussions but do not respond at all!

I check my responses, rate, and give best responses to people. I also respond to my friends discussions, in hopes they will respond to mine! I have most trouble keeping up with friends discussions, but I'm getting there!

You are doing fine. It's hard to, as your numbers and friends increase. All you can do is try. Thanks for responding. Have a great day.

Yes, i've noticed that myself.
However, i always check back my discussions to see if there are any new replies and respond to them with a thanking line or a little comment where appropiate. It's a polite thing to do and a way to keep your discussion active.
For now, i want to thank you for being so much active on my discussions.
Take care!

I know that you are very good that way. I enjoy responding to your posts. Just waiting for you to make more. I always check back to see if you have new ones, or responded back. Sometimes it is a few days, as you know that more and more people are answering. Some days I have to spend time only replying. Anyway, you are a good friend. What are you doing for Christmas? Thank you for answering all my posts too.

Lately i enjoy reading what i would consider to be interesting posts and reply to my friends discussions or any other member for that matter, without discrimination. I haven't felt inspired in order to launch a new discussion, although today i start a few :)
About Christmas i haven't decided yet, i had a plan to travel with some friends of mine mountain side but i think i'll stay home or go to a nearest place to home, without spending so much money...
We'll see, the subject remains open.

Yes, perhaps you are right. Or maybe they just don't find them if they post alot. The higher my ratings go, the harder it is to get back to everyone. I try to respond to every post.

Yes, it is. I try too, but sometimes there are so many, and so many keep coming in, that I cannot keep up. Thanks for the response to my post. Keep up the good work.

Umh..... it's weird if some one open some thread and they never look it back
But if posting like thi, it's almost imposible for me too see back my post. Too slow and if page already increased, it's hard to trackback my msg. So I never check it back unless I ask something

I have seen similar discussions on other posts. Some don't make any comments after posting topic. Others pick best response after the first couple then no more. Then you have the extreme where someone continually just says thank you. I hope that one day soon there will become a solution that suits all. But human nature being what it is I doubt it. Some topic starters are clearly in it just for the cash.

I agree with you. So, just go with the people and friends that you enjoy. I appreciate you answering so many of my posts. Yesterday was so overwelming of over 1000 people. I just cannot seem to get caught up answering them all. That is why I put out only one post of thanks today. I try to respond, I don't want to be rude or hurt anyone. Have a nice evening.

not until i my response is reported as the best response beacuse the fact is that i post to so many discusion in a day, i think it the duty of the person who had started the discussion to chek that proper or usefull response has been there or not

You need to check up on the top. You hit discussion, then look at the grey options under it toward the right and you will see discussions you started. You need to go back and check that. Read all the tabs across, it's a short cut. Much easier.

I just do think it is quite diffcult for them to go back to that topic since they are busy posting on other threads... just enough for them to forget to chackback if someone really replied to their question...

Even with the changes on Mylot people are driven to increase the number of postings they do. Are they still being rewarded for this? I really don't know. For me it seems that I spend a lot of time making comments on the responses to my discussions and get so little for it. I get more for making responses. If we are indeed going to be paid for our work on Mylot, they need to be more specific as to how the earnings are calculated.

True. You get 2 cents to do a posting, and 2 cents to answer someone elses. You get 1 penny to post a picture. But, if you go back and forth answering your post, it brings it up for more people to answer, and you make more, but I don't exactly know how it works, but it does increase your numbers and pay. Try it one day, you'll see. Good luck.

yes i do!! it's not very polite to do that..but then, they are merely following the guidelines, so it's not fair to call them that too LOL i will always try to comment on all my responses (except for those oneliners or responses that are totally unrelated to my discussions!)

I agree! Although I do check bak to posters who have responded to my questions. That's what we are here for, but I am really bad at checking back at questions I have answered. Many times, the original poster hasn't commented on my comment, so what's the point!

I notice that a lot, but never with you! I try to check on my discussions as soon as I log in and then before I log out. In between seems to be filled with checking my friends discussions and commenting in them. Sometimes I get to other interesting discussions usually involving my interests.
Have a nice day margieanne!

I do the same thing as you do. But in the beginning, I didn't know how to check back on my posts. Duh, it was right up there the whole time. I am still learning things. But, when I log on, first I go to my posts, and go down each one to respond back. I re check the whole time I am on posting and answering. Maybe some people are like I was, new and not swift. Hehhe.:) Hope you are having fun, have a wonderful evening. And, thanks so much for the communication back and forth. You are so sweet and thoughtful.

Thank you. I have been on a long time today, and I type very fast. I also know that I must answer every one that answered to my posts, as I try not to be rude. But, I am very tired, and I still have hundreds to get too. I will not be on much the next two days, so I will fall behind, and hope I can catch up to responding. Tomorrow you can be the top user. Good luck.
