The only name i would ever get tattooed on me would be my son's name, or any future child i may have. Other than that, i don't like the idea of having someone's name on me. :( Perhaps a symbol to represent the person, that way it's not an obvious name, but it'll have the same meaning.

I got my husbands name tattooed on my arm after we got married. My husband is covered with tattoos and has 2 of his ex's names tattooed on him and it has always bothered me! I always said I would never get anyone's name tattooed on me unless I was married to him!

I couldn't have a tattoo in the first place, a) I couldn't stand the pain of all those needles and b) they don't look very attractive and I find them off-putting, one is ok provided its hidden its when people have them on show. If I did like tats then I definitely WOULDN'T have one done with my lover on it, I would be covered in tats the number of exs lover's I've had LOL! Either that or it would be the same tat with lovers crossed out and replaced, rather a mess I'd say!

i have two more,one at my back(its the sun,the moon and the infinite sign and one in my coccix.I was very relaxed when i made the tattoo,my husband was kissing me while i made the tattoo and i think that tattoo on the foot don't hurt,at least mine didn't(i made on the side of my foot)

What's dirty? If you mean getting a tattoo, unless you are going to some backwoods shop, everything in the professional shops is extremely safe and clean. o_O If you mean in a moral sense, i'm sorry you feel that way. :(

I was married for 8 years and I got a tattoo of a rose with my kids' names and my husbands name.. about a month later I found out he cheated with one of my family members so I filed for divorce and am now stuck with this stupid tattoo lol..if I could do it all over again, I wouldnt.. and I would advise others not to either..
My partner now has a tatt with his ex's name as well..It does not bother me because that part of his life is over, and mine too.. Im sure we both have enough regrets of our own from getting them so we dont need to be upset about the other having it..I wasnt with him then and he wasnt with me so neither of us have any right to be upset at the other...

I would love to have my hubbys name tattoo on me but he said no names from the start and said he has always been that way. Which I can understand that as well. Which I'm glad he is that way because I sure wouldn't want to see his ex-wifes name staring at me.

No, I wouldn't want to. I don't like tattoos though. But I've seen people get stuck with an ex's name one too many times!

yes i do have my partner's name tattooed on my hip..we were together a while before i got the tattoo...we are very commited to each other so it wouldn't bother me at all if he had an ex's name on him.

I ndo not know i probably would put the initial of my lover but not the full name i would probably only put it of the person i am currently with whether or not we are together because i am going through so much with him. Just for memories and all the trial not really because he is mine

I already thought about doing my lovers name or the first letter of her name...
I think I will only do that when I marry her.

I could never put a lovers name on my body permantly. It wouldnt be that I dont love this person, but I just couldnt do it. A way for me to symbolize love with a tattoo is my tattoo on my lower back, my ex boyfriend drew up. I just would hate to put something on me, with a name, and things nto work out, I know I wouldnt really want some girls name on my boyfriend. Not that it would really matter, I mean its something they did in the past, and you know that they are with you at the moment, so it woudlnt really bother me. Just prefer not to see someone else's name on my significant other!
