My first school was Reese Elementary. I can't recall if my parents went with me or not. I do know that I rode the bus to and from school, so mostly likely they just put me on the bus and sent me on my way. I don't recall being scared, I was excited to be able to meet new girls that maybe I could play with.
How about you? What was your first schools name?

I dont think I would have had the courage to jump on a bus at the age I was ..I was just ready to turn five ..really was 4 ..but since my birthday was in October they let me start at 4 since I was turning 5 shortly after starting.

Usually private schools are very nice. I never could go to one since we were not of the richer class of folks ..We werent dirt poor.but we couldnt afford the tuition of private schools.

I feel very fortunate to have gone there...and still remember so many people I wish I could re-connect with...of course, my family was not THAT well off, and back when I went there, I really don't think it was all that expensive...but wonderful memories to say the least....

Forward Elementary School was the first school that I went to and don't remember it too well. I was definitely afraid to go to school. My parents did go with me. I know that children used to make fun of me and my parents had to keep changing schools for me.

Why did children make fun of you..children can be cruel ..can't they?
Sorry to hear that you went through an experience like that in your childhood.

The first school I went to was Mount Hermon School,in a very beautiful hill station named as Darjeeling in India, and I joined as a border. At that time the present king of Bhutan and some of his cousins were also studying there.

Isnt that great history! To have studied at the same school as the present king is really something to remember. I dont think we have many "boarding schools" here in USA beyond college dorms..Usually they are sought out for disciplinary reasons..but maybe I am wrong.
