Connecting speakers to my pc

I have a dell pc and want to connect bigger speakers to it..does anybody know how to do that?

well I was told I could do it without buying any adapters or anything like that..some guy even gave me these long instructions on what to do but i really don't want to do all that..another guy gave me the name of a site but the site looks so complicated...

What you need to do is plug one of the wire's that are like for a dvd player/game unit thing that has the 2 or 3 plugs on it, the red,yellow,and white into the stereo, making sure that it is the audio wire connector, hook it to the aux. area of your home stereo, then plug the one audio wire into the outlet on your pc.
That should be all that is needed.
My husband only baught the adapter because at the time, he didn't realize that he would not need to use it:)

easy just plug ur speakers into ur soundcard output port if they r realy big then do get an amplifier befor u plug em in coz it can damage ur pc
if u got some pc woofers then just simply plug em in n play wats the fuss?
if u have newer intel boards u can plug in multiple speakers like i have it really rules ah yes do get the dfx audio plug-in for media player it realy cool

You can buy an adapter for the speaker jack if its too large or to little or you can buy a large multimedia made for computers

yup, i do.
first u go to the shop and say "yo bi7ch pass me some big azz speakers."
then u take them home and plug them into your computer.

You can either buy a pair of "powered speakers"
These are speaker that you would plug into the computer, and they will also have to be plugged into another electrical support.
Or you can buy some nice BIG BIG speaker and an amp.
The amp plugs into the wall, your big speakers plug into the amp.
Then you will need an RCA to 1/8 jack
plug the 1/8 side into the pc, and the rca inputs into the amp. And then you can rock out and have the neighbors call the cops on you :)
