Christmas lights

we didnt really put them on the house but we did put them on out trees and around the window seals sometimes. I haven hung christmas light in years.

Not this year. The only thing we put out this year was a reindeer. We are moving soon after Christmas and didn't want to have to deal with taking lights down.

The tradition of Christmas lights acutually originates with ancient peoples that feared the long, dark days of winter. During Winter Solstice time, large bonfires were kept burning the "lure" the sun back. This tradition continued throughout the ages but, like many ancient traditions, it evolved and mutated so much that its origin is not readily clear.
