How do I include photographs in my posts?

I would love to include photographs in some of my dicussion posts but I can't work out how to do it.
Could you please advise me on how I get these pictures to show up?
Do I need to have the pictures hosted on another site like photobox?
How do I upload to my profile page and do they need to be here to use in discussions. I haven't done this before so I'm really confused by it.
By the way, can the first few people who answer tell me whether you can see my avatar picture (a dirty red 4x4)

Yes I can see your Avatar and just follow the instructions of the first one lol as I noticed it is getting confusing and like she said you need to have Pictures on your Computer
There are Site on the Internet that do Gifs if you want the Site that I use to download them let me know by Message and I will send it to you

whn u are writing a post , u wud see an option just below as "add an image" ... use tht option to upload image

well to inclued photographs in here just remember your pic should not be more than 1.5 MB and it should be of following formats:
1.JPG
2.BMP
3.PNG
4.GIF
if your pic is one of this then just upload your pic to the disscusion and enjoy.
