Would you ever think about becoming a foster parent?

Why or why not? And what ages would you be interested in? I have been thing about it. I'm not sure if I should or not. I think if I did do it the ages I would be taking in would be 3-6 years of age around my daughter age.

If I had the space and my wife and I had more time, it would probably be something we would consider. But, we just don't have either.

I read everyone's point of view. It is very helpful. It helps me to see how different people, have different opinions, from all over the world. Thanks for taking the time to post, on my discussion.

If my house was bigger I think it would be lovely to be a foster parent. My son could have another child around his own age. I am a teacher and so I like helping children. When I was teaching at one school a little girl in my class was fostered to a caring family. She was very settled and adored living with them. However social services had her adopted to someone else. She was very upset about this. Another catholic family fostered two boys and a girl. They applied to adopt them and successfully did this.

I would not, I get too attached. I would loose it when they made me give them back, especially if I had to watch them go back to a home where I knew they would not be taken good care of.

I have 'thought' about it for 21 years..and am now doing it. I want ages 5-8 for boys and 5-10 for girls. I do not want foster kids older than my own children. SO far I have enjoyed it...
