If my child announced that they were gay, I would accept them no matter what. I don't care who he or she chooses to love. All I want for my kids is for them to be happy. If there are parents out there who disowned their kids...shame on them.

I have some gay friends and I accept them just fine. So I would accept the fact that my child was gay as well. You can't change a person. Plus the love for your child is greater than anything.

Yes, I would accept my child if he told me was gay. It doesn't change the person that he is inside. Overall, he can make that decision and he must stand beside that decision and any repercussions that come along with it. I will support him and love him and accept him but there is no way that I can make anything easier on him if that's they way he decides to go.

yes i would! first of all, he's my son and i love him. second for being brave enough to admit and express himself. gay discrimination is such a bad thing. i believe everyone is entitled to express their feelings and themselves. being gay is not having a leprosy that people would turn their backs away cause its infectious! it is bravery for showing the world who you are!

I would be sad in that I know they would face adversity in their life, because people can be cruel. But they are my child. And if they are being true to themselves, I will accept them for who they are. Why should they not have the same happiness straight people have?
