Reiki healing spirtual or scientific

As to spiritual or scientific, I do not know....however I practice reiki and have seen its effects on myself and others. Just to clarify, when one channels reiki - they are not passing energy from themselves into others. A reiki attunement allows one to access universal life force energy and the healer becomes a channel for the energy to flow through. So you're only channeling energy from teh universe into someone else through your hands. Reiki does bring about stress reduction and relaxation and healing. It deals with the seven chakras in teh body. When one of the chakras is blocked, it causes a disruption in the energy flow which manifests in the form of illness. Reiki helps to restore the energy levels to be able to get the chakra spinning again at optimum levels thus promoting healing.

I had heard that term before, because we had a woman in the town I used to live in that practiced Reiki. Until now I never knew what it was all about, but what I'm reading here, it sounds to me to be more of a spiritual thing to me, because as you said, I don't think there is anything (that I know of anyway) in science that can make energy flow from a person's hands into another person's body. It sounds interesting, but I'm kind of sceptical as to if it would work or not, because I'm not sure if that's even possible really. But who am I to judge before I've tried something. I'd be willing to give it a shot... I bet if nothing else it would be very relaxing while you are there.

As a matter of fact Reiki is more of spiritual technique. It involves a lot of the two forces of the mind namely YIN and YAN. You use the positive forces in your body to induce strength into the body of another. This is basically what Reioki teaches ar use. But it is easier said than done. And as for the matter of separating 2 people, it is a load of hokus pokus. No Reiki is a healing method and not an act of magic. Reiki is used to cure people of ailments and not to change their minds. Basically people who undergo Reiki teatment are receiving Reiki Energy or just plain energy and not thoughts. No Reiki healer controls the mind but he controls the enrgy in his or herself and uses the same to cure the patient rather.

I am agree with you. But at the same time I felt and believe that Reiki is spiritual and scientific both! There is no rule that spiritual thing is not scientific! Rather spiritual things are more scientific and yet this so called science has to accept that! So many scientist are working on the relationship between healing and science, spiritual processes and science! And there are scientists like BArbara Ann Brennan who was NASA scientist but become permenantly heale, left NASA and wrote best seller book like Hands of Light!

Actually Reiki is, by many scientists and doctors today, being accepted as a proper medicinal practice. Appropriately labeled "Alternative Medicine" because while it is not pharmaceutical in nature, the occurrence itself and the results in many cases have been measurable. That, from my understanding, is scientific. Paranormal occurrence, otherwise known as ghosts, psychic imprints, etc are also measurable. That would make them both scientific and spiritual in nature. More and more scientists are understanding that science/medicine and the spiritual realm CAN indeed interact. Just my opinion of course.
