I have insomnia. My mind just refuses to sleep. I can't stop thinking! I've heard that you should turn off the tv and computer an hour before you go to bed so you mind can start to rest. Also when you go to bed stay there for 20 minutes. Then get up if you can't sleep still. While you are up do yoga or clean. Anything physical.

I think it has more to do with your mind. To get to sleep Faster:
Try to unwind after you get off the computer, I find that if I am on the computer and then try to go to bed I can't. Try to get all work and papers, bills, etc. away from the room you sleep in. Work on the bed bad. Also try to drink warm milk or just milk period. Protein foods can help too I heard and of course turkey. Now one thing I learned when I used to be in a voice class, is to pace around your room real slow with your head moving from side to side or shoulder to shoulder. You might look like a zombie, but it really works, it helps relieve and relax your muscles.

In my case, it's my mind and also my body, apparently. Sometimes I have difficulty falling asleep due to the fact that my mind just won't shut off. I can usually prevent this however, by reading a book that is purely entertainment right before bedtime
I also have another problem, however, that I have no control over and that's the fact that I just do not get a good enough quality of sleep to feel rested for some reason, no matter how long I sleep. In order to get good rest I have to take Lunesta before going to bed. By doing this, I get a good, deep sleep and wake up feeling refreshed the next day.

I think the biggest part of insomnia is the mind. When I'm anxious for something or/and I'm worry I can't sleep. In this way I try to make some body exercises,I do a warm bath, take a cup of chamomile tea and then I read my book ...it helps to take myself sleep
