Do you believe that we choose those who are in charge of our government? Or do you believe that its all rigged and pre-planned? Do votes really count?

well i don't think so? because lot of a government now are they are not the one who choose the people who set there. the other is they used their power to do everything only to set thier thrown. i think in a local they counted the votes but in presidential no comment:)

I am from the UK so not to sure how much my voice counts when talking about US politics, but I have always seen the concept of a 2-party system as UN-democratic. I know in theory their can be independent but that fact they are called that might tell you something. Right off the bat the media is putting them down and adhering to a 2 party system. Not saying in the UK we have things much better with our just past the post system again isn't fully democratic (not to mention our house of lords that isn't even voted in lol). Also your Electoral college system, which is basically like our just past the post system needs to be looked at, while it isn't as bad. it is still bad when a person can become president without 50% of the vote. Really don't see why you don't replace the presidential election system with proportional representation ?
