Inactive Discussion PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have had a few discussions that have been inactive for weeks, this has led me to stop starting discussions and just answer other peoples. I eventually will think of a good discussion that is not on mylot all of the time. I have discussions that have never had an answer, but i like being on mylot. In my eyes there are far too many discussions on here ath the moment anyway so i won't add to the junkpile, Yet.

If you back to the discussion and post a comment on it then it will bring it back onto the pages when you first login and mayby someone new will see it and respond to it, this happens to me all the time ill go in and post a comment and then a few seconds later another person will respond to it.

i have many inactive discussions,it's impossible to keep them all alive especially since there are new ones every day..but sometimes my friends check out all my discussions and answer to most of them...i also chose well all my friends,i used to have 150 friends on my list but i started deleting the ones that were absolutely inactive,and i kept responding to their discussions but they didn't respond to mine... also,before,whe you replied to someone that responded to your discussion,that made your discussion go to thei first page of mylot and other people could see it and respond also,...now,the first page is with today's hot topics.and you have to go to recent discussions to find it ,and i don't think many people do that..

I am not sure I like the New way they have redone this to where only the Top topics remain on the page. Makes it hard to find others we may want to answer in here, so even a lot of my Newer posts are not getting many responses here like they used too. I think they need to go back to Random posts on the Front to give us all a better chance of earning something here. I hope myLot sees this, and takes it into consideration. But I do usually take time and post to anybodys discussions if they take time to respond to one of mine, as I feel I deserve to give them that at least.

I have had many discussions that received only a few responses. It does bother me that when I could use the advice from others I get no helpful responses. I think that Mylot could possibly make a section for discussions with little responses. They have a section for Discussions with no responses so I think it may help. Also if a person has friends who post valid discussion questions it is good to be aware of your friends posts and try to keep their discussions going.

i don't know,some of my discussions too are becoming inactive.i have tryed commenting them,but no use.i really don't understand,they are not that bad discussions.but they are not getting much of responses.i think that mylot should do some thing about this,i don't know what!

I have also inactive discussions or discussions with 1-2 responses. It means they don't interest anyone. I tis the life! Don't worry... place more discussions and you'll see more responses.

Well, this should be kept in mind that with each discussion you start, you should reply to each comment this helps the discussion to be healthy mostly people love to reply to those discussions which are in the front page or those which are newly started There are majority of people who wont care to Scan through users, search for discussions They would just do that whatever appears on the page 1 and 2, they would comply so the mantra is just to comment on the responses And there isnt any reason in particular for you getting 80 responses and your bf to get 10 responses. That all depends on the topic and its content, as well as the interest of the people

maybe, i thought the best way is: 1. give a comment at your innactive discussion.then your discussion will appeared at the first page. 2. give your response at the blank discussion of your friends, ask them to help you with the same situation.

but did they removed some topics today cause I only see 10 pages??

I think the only solutions for inactive discussion is ask your friends to help you. Or you may post comments to their post. That way your discussion will be active again. That's what i am doing right now and my friends are helping me and vice versa.

The way I keep my discussions alive is to comment back on the responses that people give to me. Perhaps you are commenting back and he is not doing that. Also it helps to not comment back on 10 replies all in a row. Space that out over 30 minutes and it will get more exposure in the recent discussions tab. I am always checking my responses and comments. Go back and read through where they are coming from also. Sometimes someone will comment on a response on your front page. It looks like you do that regularly and by doing that your discussions become more involved and get better responses.

Ive tried really interesting topics and had no real success so far...even if you rate every response and invite the respondents as friends... that has not really worked for me...

yes i am also wonder as i posted 4 discussions and just get 2 or 3 responses. this is not fair people might prefer to response to their friends. where i prefer to answer every other good posting with out bias.

i have found even my discussion is slow but i have seen discussions even after 4 months somebody like me giving respones
