Definately Madonna! She has lasting power and a good head for business. Britney Spears has already come and gone.

One might ask: best at what? I don't know either of them that well, but I suppose Britney is the way to go, at least for now. So send her on over.

Are we talking about the quality of music or their "reputations"? I have always loved Madonna's music and have every CD she made. She is definitely talented, both musically and with her stage presence and videos. I may not care for some of her more risque videos, but they are always well-done.
Britney, on the other hand, has changed from a cute teenage pop-star/teen idol into a horrible mother and terrible influence on the young girls who idolize her. Her music is mediocre; she never grew out of the teen pop type of music. Besides that, her recent antics on the party-circuit with her new friend Paris Hilton are disgusting. She is going to get nothing but bad publicity from this past week's events. If I had a teen daughter, I would definitely sit her down and discuss all of the reasons why she does NOT want to be like Britney.

i am going to have to say madonna on this one. Britney has been doing a lot of things lately that I don't agree with.
