Are doctors too quick to subscribe depression medicine?

My Aunt is on Prozac perscribed by her doctor for depression. She is also a heavy drinker. She drinks until the point she either passes out or pees her self. Either way this is not a healthy behavior. This is just about every night for her. Is this a part of her depression? Or is she just a drunk? I know there is a differance between the two, but sometimes the two go hand and hand. Dont they? What are your thoughts?
