HealthCare.. Is it nearly impossible to get where you live?

Here in Missouri, the hospitals can apparently refuse you if you have no medical insurance/medicaid/medicare and are not dying. Once in the hospital.. they rush you as quickly as possible, treat you as if you're a waste of their time, and toss you out as soon as they possibly can.. nurses are rude and pushy, they arent gentle at all.. even when taking blood or giving shots. Is it like this in other states and countries?
