Which one is better (and why) the PS3 or Xbox 360?

Well. The 360 has been out for a while and its pretty safe to say that "most" of the major bugs should be worked out. PS3 is still going through the "beta" phase. Although it isn't really thats what I call it. Sony is taking all the bug reports (hopefully) and fixing the next batch (after christmas). Its a matter of opinion. If you like the 360's games better. Get it. PS3? Get it. Although I know A LOT of people say that Xbox Live is the best live service. So if online gaming is for you, consider that one

well i have a xbox360 and its pretty cool but i heard the ps3 is way better and unreal..thats why it took so long to come out...but good luck gettin one

PS3, is supposed to be twice as fast... It costs almost twice as much though... 360 is really cool in it's own right...

I have a PS3. SO I guess I will be biased towards it. However, I have heard rave reviews about Xbox 360 as well. So if you want to go for it. I wont discourage you about it. Both are great. Check them out. Go for whichever your soul likes best .

Sony said that the PS3 was going to be a generational leap, but it doesnt seem like that to me. Look at the graphics compared to the Xbox 360, its basically the same thing. The SIXAXIS controller bugs out on its own, plus you have to keep plugin it in to the system and take it out to use the wireless feature every time you turn it on. Plus it has 8 freaking CPU's but it cannot multitask, not even custom tracks. The Wii seemd really fun, but you need money inorder to actually have fun with it. The batteries only last 20 hours max. The classic controller connects to the Wii-mote and contribute to the battery power life. The graphics arent that much big, but u can expect that from Nintendo. They could have atleast made it a little more detailed, only a handfull of games look clean. Most of the games are inresponsive to the wii-mote and that makes the game boring. There is no online multiplayer and wont be any for quite sum time. The 360 has been out for a year now and i've seen tons of games that are good for it. personally I would get that if you do not own it already. The controller is better, the graphics are clean, the frame rate is generally good for most games, good backwards compatibility, the best online multiplayer availible, and what more can I say. The Xbox 360 has my vote.

It all depends on your needs and what else are you going to use it for?beside games... but overall the PS3 is the best gaming console.. in all aspects then also Better is a matter of opinion, but in terms of facts, here's what we have: The PS3 has the highest price tag of the three. This will put a lot of pressure on Sony to outperform the others. After all, if you buy a $600 console and most of it's games are ports or average at best, you're going to be more than a little ticked. It's definitely possible for them to go above and beyond with the PS3, but the matter of fact is that the price tag so far is a result only of the fancy hardware (like the blu-ray laser) that they have in the console, not a result of fun or enjoyable games. We won't really know for sure until it's been released for a while, however. The Xbox 360 has been out for a time now. It's nothing new. So while it's hardware rivals that of the PS3, and it's price tag is much lower, I don't see a huge spike in Xbox 360 sales happening any time soon. For me, the Xbox 360 (and the Xbox) games have been mediocre. Perhaps best of all so far has been Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is also availiable on PC and will be a launch title for PS3.

I think both are best in one way or another and both are really cool to play with...............................................

Check which ones the games are most expensive for, i have a hunch it might be the X-Box and buy the other one. It's no use giving her a consoul if she can't afford the games.

U should consider getting her a PS3 because the PS series always have a lot of RPG and girls games, whereas Xbox360 games are rather action oriental. I have a sister who always enjoy the PS games.
