I think David Blaine is better. Criss Angel is mostly all video trickery as far as I'm concerned. I have seen him get out of a bunch of knots in under 4 minutes- and that was pretty neat, but other than that Criss Angel doesn't impress me at all.

Both are good but i would say that David Blaine is better. He is not only performing magic, he also keep testing his phisical limits.

Criss Angel is much more entertaining in my opinion. I don't know if I believe what he does is real but it makes for a good show. lol David Blaine gets on my nerves for some reason. I think it's because he did this commerical to promote reading and you could tell he was reading off a que card. It just didn't seem like he could read all that great himself. Annoyed me.

This is easy... It's Criss Angel hands down for me. I think Criss Angel has everything necessary to entertain anyone. He's charismatic, funny, down to earth and genuinely cares I've tried to watch David Blaine perform some of his magic and illusions and he doesn't seem to keep his audience involved enough in his tricks/illusions. He doesn't really seem to care about the people who he gets to assist him in his illusions either. He'll ask them their names and then go right into the illusion.
I also found upon watching David Blaine perform some illusions that he wasn't executing the illusions as best as possible. You were led to believe that they were nothing more than a trick because here or there you could see him do something that would give the trick away as nothing special.
He tends to take on illusions or challenges as well that I do not think he's up to doing. I remember the one he did most recently where he submerged himself in water for 24 hours. Well, at least that was the challenge. As opposed to the 24 hrs. that he was going to be submerged he just fell short of that by an hr. or so. Which I know for anyone that would be difficult to do. I highly doubt I could.. But still.. I guess I just think he should have done an illusion that he knew he could do..
Criss Angel, I believe, picks challenges that I think he can completely finish. He knows that these illusions will work, but even when one messes up, he doesn't take it too seriously. He's able to inject it with some humor and lighten the situation. I also find he has an amazing way of capturing someone's attention and not letting it go until the illusion is over. It's like he's got this built in charm to just pull anyone in to what he wants to show them.
I think no matter how big the illusion, Criss Angel is always up for the task and willing to try his hardest to complete every illusion he decides to do. There's no faking with him, he's very real...where as I find with David Blaine he seems to be faking that he should be an illusionist in the first place.
I believe Criss Angel has something that no other illusionist out there has and it's something that keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what he's going to do next. He's so original with the challenges he comes up with for himself that you can't help but watch him perform them. I think David Blaine has a tendency to just do illusions that are the ordinary everyday ones, not really challenging himself and his audience in the end.
So, in conclusion, I believe Criss Angel is the better of the two illusionists because he challenges himself and his audience to accept things that are not the normal way to see things. He does tricks that are larger than life and usually ones that are completely original. I believe David Blaine lacks this originality and has a tendency not to connect with his audience. At least this is my opinion & where I stand on this topic..
