I've just finished reading through the Discworld series for about the 20th time - I can't get enough of them! Started reading them about 5 years ago (after scorning them in High School because they looked too childish! lol) and have been hooked ever since!
Terry has the kind of humour that makes you burst out laughing no matter where you are - I know - I've had some pretty weird looks out in public when I start laughing for no apparent reason!
Who else is a Pratchett fan?

I just finished reading a novel by Sara Douglass (great aussie author) and I am looking for something new to read, so thanks for the tip Silver. Just a quick question - whats it about (keep it vauge - I wanna read it lol), how long is it?
I'd kill for another long one right now, the book I just read I could have read in a few hours - I need them, big lol.

It's a whole new world Adversa...complete fantasy genre but even if you aren't a normal fan of fantasy I would suggest reading it anyway. It's a series of books - but you don't have to start at the beginning...I've found it is probably easier to though.
I can't really give you a run down - each book concentrates on a different character and a different story (sometimes going back to characters and having other regular characters come into another story)...It's actually quite hard to describe...

Well at the moment there are somewhere around 40 books in the series, but most of the books are fairly short. Discworld parodies anything and everything, in an amazingly quick-witted, tongue-in-cheek way. If you can read these books without giggling you must have absolutely no sense of humor!

He has the ability to make complete comedy WITHIN a storyline...so many authors that attempt it either end up with something that isn't funny but has a great story - or that is funny but there is no story behind the humour...takes great talent to be able to combine the two! =)

I've only read the first 3 books from the Discworld series, because these are the only ones translated in Romanian yet.
I really like Terry Pratchett's style.
You have read all 37 books of the Discworld series 20 times in 5 years? That means you really read a lot!
