When I was younger and horror movies were more plot and less slashing, I loved them. However, since the genre has changed, and not for the better I might add, I'd rather watch comedy. Once again, I like the older movies, because I think actresses and actors were much funnier in the old days. Comedy today is mostly off-color jokes and special effects. The older comedy actors, like Lucy and Bob Hope, were much more into physical comedy that was hilarious. I like movies like "Yours, Mine, and Ours" (the old one with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda). I love both "Sister Act" and "Grumpy Old Men" and still watch them in reruns on occasion. You can tell that I'm no movie buff, though.

i love "sister act" too, and "grumpy old men" is a real good one! i just love the humor in that movie especially the friendly nasty joke of throwing the fish in the car til it rots and smells, men, old men, LOL!

Horror for me. My fave horror movie of all time is the Exorcist with Linda Blair. The 1973 version.
It is the dark psychological aspects of the film that really frightened me the first time I saw it. It was weeks literally before I could get some of the scenes out of my head.
