I am a new member in mylot n i was trying to register my account for paypal, now if i select a personal account option it`s asking me for a credit/debit card numbers. Was just a little concerned about it. Can someone please help me with this or is there a way in which we can open a paypal account without giving this kind of information???

You should only have to enter credit/debit card numbers if you want to link your account to a credit card. I know plenty of people who've opened paypal accounts without having a credit card. You should be able to skip that step. I know I was able to - I don't have a credit or debit card, but I have a paypal account.

It is purely optional to add a credit/debit card to a paypal account. i live in India and I do not have a credit/debit card... but I do have a paypal account without using any credit/ debit card

For some reason Paypal appear to have different rules according to the country of the person registering, so it is difficult to answer this for you.
I live in the United Kingdom, and even though I do have a credit card registered with Paypal it was not essential. I would be allowed to operate a Paypal account without a credit card.
However, I see that you are from India, so the rules are likely to be different. I suggest that you check with the Paypal website to find out the requirements.
