company Christmas Parties

Does your company have an annual Christmas Party? My husband's company does. When he first started with them about 8 years ago everyone got nice bonus checks as well as gifts. Now they get gifts but no bonus checks. Shouldn't really complain about that but the gifts are not usually things we need -- for instance my husband has gotten 3 new coats from the company in 3 years. He doesn't need a new winter coat every year. It is a nice thought though so maybe I am just picky.

My boyfriend just got his Christams bonus today from where he works. He got a cash bonus in the amount of a weeks work and a gift certificate for a 6 lb ham. Plus they will be having a Christmas party where they pay for the dinner plus there is a gift exchange,they pick names and everyone has to buy something for one other person. I had a good time last year and I am looking forward to this year.

We are heading to Houston for my husbands company party next weekend. They make the party well over two hours from home. Not really liking that idea but they are having it in a cool place. Supposedly gets a bonus, waiting anxiously to see what it is and if it will pay for the rest of Christmas.
