I'm sorry but this is ridiculous people! I'm fed up with these stupid answers just so that you can post! At least make half an effort! Even if it's just to say I like horses (the last stupid one was in a horse type thread) FFS!
I just feel like snapping at these people! I know we don't all make nice long replies all the time but seriously, when you post saying "I have no comment on this topic" you're just being idiotic!
Ok...vent over...thankyou for listening... lol

I don't have an opinion on this topic.
;P
No honestly. I like your rant, very well said. I can't stand those people who are just posting for the sake of money. I mean it is a nice addition for sure but a forum is there to discuss topics that are important to you or interessting and to meet different sorts of people. Answers like 'I don't really care' just don't act beneficial to any discussion.
Such members don't even take the time to read through the anwers, they just read the headline and are maybe skimming through the opening post and are then hurrying to type there thoughtless post..
I hope some of those members are going to think their 'post-behaviour' over thanks to your discussion!

Unfortunately chizue I doubt it will make any difference! I'm sure there have been many more people before me to make this rant and those other people are still out there! About the only thing we can hope for is that they will soon realise how little (if anything) they are getting paid for their idiot posts and think that it wouldn't even be worth waiting for the page to load if they are going to post something like that! lol

I Like your rant!! and i totally agree, why do these people bother to answer at all?, THIS IS A DISCUSSION people, if you don't have anything to add to the discussion then don't try, believe me the site will be far better off without these people who just answer to see the wee number go up beside their name, i think it is very ignorant, if the person starting the discussion takes time to think about it, type it, and respond to responses, and the person responding just couldn't be bothered (at least try to form an opinion).

Well...technically this one isn't a discussion as such - it's more of a rant and rave and a chance for others to rant and rave! =) All good anyway! It at least half stimulates your mind! lol

Saying "I have no comment on this topic" etc. is banned here Gemma, nobody should be saying it, and they certainatly wond be geting any cash for it. It annoys me how many "lame" responses there are too. I want people to have interesting discussions, keeps me interested if you know what I mean.
And sorry for not replying earlier, I have been busy. Here is a late bump for you anyway lol.

I agree with you, its so annoying. Either they do it to make a quick buck or they are airheads that cant think of something to write. On the other hand, I must admit that some topics on MyLot is also reaching the ultimate levels of boredome, its mind numbing to say the least, so I can imagine tht some people are just copying and pasting the same answer to all of the quations.
Grade them nagtively! They are wasting bandwith and everyone elses time!

You are not on your own!!
There are lots of us think the same way.
But.......
The new guide lines will sort most of them out, because they will not get paid very much for their posts and so maybe with a bit of luck they will resign from the site!!!!

I didn't think of that - a lot of them would have joined before the new rules came into place (I joined after) so are still playing by the old rules....hopefully they'll realise soon!

My biggest pet peave is when people responnd with "I don't know".For goodeness sakes if you have nothing to add to the discussion don't bloody respond.I have snapped at these people, why the hell waste my time and yours?.I would rather they don't post at all but I think they have it in their heads that any response is going to get them money.
Oh and......I like horses :P

That's why they do it - and that's the main thing that drives me batty! You KNOW they are only posting because they will get paid for it.... Grrrrr I see getting paid for talking as a bonus - I won't post unless I actually have something constructive to say!

Fortunatly the things they have been doing to mylot has meant all of these issues are now not as apparent as they used to be.
Thankfully really, I was getting REALLY sick of those kinds of discussions and responses. Not constructive at all.

Oh and also (sorry, I dont mean to spam) I hate the creators of the discussion who reply to every one with a "thankyou for posting" or some such nonsense. I think its a great idea to respond to the entries made but its completely pointless for responses that go nowhere!
At least making stupid one-liner posts have a purpose, to get you money, I dont even know why those people would bother with the thankyou for posting posts.

If somebody has made a really good post I like to reply just to show that I have read it and I appreciate that they took the time to write a relevant reply (exactly what I'm doing for your reply now). But I don't just put "Thanks for your reply" or some other proforma reply...

Oh i couldnt agree more, just like the idiots that post topics like why are golfish red? what is that?
makes me so mad and its obvious that they are only trying to rip offf the system and make a buck. It makes it hard when you are trying to find something decent to read and all you find is mind numbing crap with stupid pathetic posts! oh sorry vent over now also! lol

well, you can in your threads...i mean, in some of mine i've seen someone copy and past my discussion question and another person copy & paste the mature content blab thing...in other people i've seen someone talk about something totaly out of the question, the question was about anime and different types and they respond to with somthing about filing paper work and getting organized...???wha??? i think people are just pasting whatever....i keep seeing answers like.."i am an intern and a medical clinic" well what the hell does that have to do with the relationship question asked???

What you have just pointed out may be true. But think it in this way, people want to participate in some particular discussion and they do so my posting thier thoughts, but what about the people who cannot think of a good reply to post on. You can say such people should leave such topics to 'experts'. Agreed, but eventually where would they go?

I was more just talking about the people that post things like "I have nothing to add to this topic" just because they are going to get paid for it. It's really just wasting space and is of no help to the topic owner...

You're definitely right. They're not adding to the conversation at all. I thought that the new algorhythm was suppose to fix this but it doesn't look like it has. I think that's really quite a shame.

The new rules state you get paid for the quality of your response - so they will still get a small earning for a stupid "I don't know" answer...
By the way - I don't get any more for replying to each response but I appreciate it when a thread owner acknowledges my contribution so I do the same...

you are right..............................................................just kidding. I know this is my husbands biggest pet peeve here on my lot, he is now giving people who do that a negative mark on the comment because he is fed up. Seriously if you don't know people just stay out of the conversation.

It's not so much if you don't know them - just if you don't have anything to say then go to another thread! Don't just post for the sake of posting! =)
