It's fine for a certain time. I think the age is around one, the sucking will change the shape of the plate in your mouth. So let your infant comfort for now. The whole teeth thing is to vegg, some infants get a tooth before they are three months old, there have been cases where infants half a tooth at birth. I think you stop the bottle and pacifier at the same time at thats abot 12 - 14 months.

My family has always used pacificers. It seems to calm the baby. There is a cut off time for when baby should stop using the pacifier. But I am not sure what age that is. You should ask a doctor.

My son loves his pacifier. He doesn't need it all the time, but it definitely calms him down and helps him relax if he is sleepy. There are certain kinds of pacifiers you can get that orthodontists and dentists recommend.

I've actually read that studies have been done showing that pacifiers help to decrease the risk of SIDS. My son has been using the paci since he was about 7 months and now he can't go without it! My doctor said he can have it until he's around 2 and then we'll started weaning him from it.
