Who was the world's greatest thief ?

I don't know, but they had something on television a few days ago or something about this guy that hijacked a plane, and they gave him tons of money that he demanded, and then he jumped out of the jet plane while it was flying really high over the forest with the money. I thought that guy was a pretty good thief, if he survived that is. He's crazy, yes... but still, if he survived and kept the money that would have been a good job. Mind you, they also said that the money used would be found if he spent it because of serial numbers or whatever. Somehow the marked the money, so I guess he never did get to spend the money, or it was just never noticed that it was spent. Either way... I thought it was a neat story.
