The youngest kid in our family (not counting grandkids) is 24... no 25. The youngest is 25 and my mom STILL fills our stockings! Of course, that means the grandkids get TWO stockings for Christmas. Well, my sister's kids do, anyway. My brother and his wife don't do Santa for their kids. Don't know if they will in the future, but they've never done it yet.

Everyone always got a stocking. One year when the grandkids were older I didn't do stockings. My granddaighters let me know they really missed it. They loved getting the little stuff, I never spent alot of money on the stuff. I would always put a few rocks in there for fun too. I would tease them before Christmas that was all they were getting. You are never to old for a stocking.

I would say that if it is a tradition that they enjoy, they are never too old. LOL. I just pictured middle aged children gathering at their mom's and dad's house and looking in their stocking; so I guess they would get too old at some point.
