I am completely underrated are you?

It feels as though the world is against me, that no matter what i do, people will still think im no good at anything. I was just wondering if anyone is dealing with this same type of situation!

I am a rather large man, I have hair down to the middle of my back, and I usually don't shave as often as I should. I stand out like a sore thumb. People tend to think that I am not intelligent because of my appearance, I have been denied jobs, I have been cut down in everything I do, simply because I don't look a certain way. I choose not to let people get to me. If you choose to reject me without giving me a chance that is your loss. I am a very knowledgable person both in life and in book learning. I choose to look the way I do just to challenge the integrity of people. I can learn so much about a person just by judging their reaction to me. Different is good, it is what makes the world go round. If everyone was on the same level life would be so boring it would be unreal.

well i appriciate hearing from you. I mean, we're both kinda stuck in the same situation. It sucks being like this, but what i believe is that if a person is good, then good things will happen to them at one point or another, if a person is mean, or bad, then bad things will happen to them. i mean, sure a mean, rude, selfish person can win the lottery, but whatever it is that makes them mean, rude, and selfish will come back to haunt them. Only time will tell. Stick in there mate. I'm sure as long as we don't let "the world" get to us, we'll be A. OKAY. Thanks for the response! -Jamesio

I think you need some self-confidence. Don't let anybody put you down, and you don't put yourself down. It's not healthy in the long run. Hope it helps.

Hmm... see, that's not the problem... i have a whole lotta self confidence built up inside of me. like, im not afraid to express myself, and i think im a really cool person who has a lot to offer the world, it just feels as though everyone else thinks im garbage even though i think im great. Im really good at drawing, and im a great singer, and im practically good at everything i try to do (not being cocky or anything. I just think im looked at as being "lucky" no matter how good i do at anything. advice?
