About how much does a baby cost a month? I want to breast feed so as long as the baby takes to it that should save a lot of money. Just curious!

I would have at least $5K put away before you try to concieve. Just the medical bills can run you a few thousand dependng on your insurance. For the baby bed, around $300-$1,000 depending on which type you buy. I would say that average for formula and diapers at least $200/month depending on what brands you buy. Once the baby starts eating baby food & cereal and starts drinking juice, tack on another $30/month (add another $10 or so for when the baby starts drinking milk @ age 1). As the baby gets older the pakcs of diapers stay about the same price, but you get fewer in the pack so you ned up buying more. Clothing for the first year, you probably won't spend much if anything because of all the clothes people give you. If you need dayacre, you are looking at around $120/week for a baby.

I didnt wanted to spend much money on baby furnitures so I borrow the baby bed from my nubby's cousin. Drawer, I used the one I had, I wasnt able to nurse my daughter but I had WIC for my daughter. All her formula were taken care of. You might want to look into it maybe you can get some help. It depend on your household income. Daipers, I bought the box every 2 weeks for my daughter. Box was about anywhere from $25 to $30. Clothes are from my parents from Japan so I really didnt spend much. But there are lot of cute clothes and I remember my friends bought few for her daughter and only 3 outfits, she paid close to $100. Baby is going to grow up fast so I wouldnt spend much on the furnitures except the crib. Crib, you can buy from $99 to $300. You can spend more if you want. In walmart, I think they do baby sale, that a good time to go and load up the items. There are so many choices for car seat too. Stroller, so many different prices. I think you just need to look around and find the good store.

It really depends on the items that you choose to stock up. Diapers, milk powder, just these 2 would cost me an average of $100 per month.
