how to enlarge the trunk of my bonsai plant?

I have a one year old Juniper bonsai plant. I have started to train it last month by putting wires on the branches and its trunk. However I have a problem, the trunk is still a little bit small. I have given the plant multiple fertilizer. I also water it 2 times a day. But I am still not satisfied with its trunk growth. What do I have to do to make the trunk bigger faster?

As far as I know it takes a lot more time to really get that look for bonsai plants. Urs is only 1 year old, you need to wait for more time. Hope you have gathered enough information about bonsai growing. I have with me few of them which are more than 8 years old, still not having a very good bonsai look.

i know it takes a very long time, but i was hoping for a shortcut, i wonder if bleeding the bark using a sharp razor should enlarge the trunk when they heal
but i havent tried it though
