Migraine of the first day of my period

I'm not sure if this is a common thing for girls but I'm the only one who experiences this among our group. I always get a really bad migraine on my first day. I have to take 500mg Mefenamic Acid when I feel it starting, if I don't, no amount of Mefenamic Acid can treat it. It's like my head's going to explode. What's wrong?

Sometimes I have migraine during my period too. It was terrible.
