my penang office is going to closed down with effective on 1 jan 2007, which means that i will be jobless then but my last day will be on 22nd December 2006. (after deducting all my paid leave) i felt such a huge relief....as sales has been rather slow but i have this nagging feeling on how to pay for my expenses everymonth (car, insurance, house) sigh!!! friends, care to say some good words for comfort?

Thank you my dear friend! the problem is that my bf is finding job as well..sigh...we have discussed the problem and may go to singapore so that he can find a good job there (he's a singaporean) but it will be tough for me as companies in singapore prefer those with PR there for employment. Thank you for the good wishes!! i have to have strong faith now, i know...but it just happened...and im having such a mixed feeling now..relief and sad that i could not cover the monthly expenses....Anyway, my best wishes to you and your family! Thanks for the nice words!

Dear Eunice,
Your an educated woman, surely you'll find another one that can be a worthwhile job and probably a more rewarding one. As you said in my post you have your special someone with you who comforts you. Enjoy each others company and you'll overcome the rest. Good luck friend and best wishes.

You're so young and cute, you'll find an even better job right away. Just get out there now and don't wait around until your other job is gone before starting to look. You've just got to realize that God has something even better for you in mind.

First, You still have God. He is the source of all blessings. If The LORD be with you, don't worry...Remember, He is the source of all blessings.
Just look for another one. I knew that Penang is a small city. Maybe this is a chance for you to get the job at Singapore:)

A fresh new year to start a fresh new career! (Hey, that rhymes!) Keep faith and God will provide. Everything will come together at the right time, including covering the finances. You're a bright girl, you'll find a way. Just try not to get too stressed, it makes it harder to think clearly. Aloha!

my husbands hours were cut back so much, we can hardly pay our bills. Honey, take it a day at a time, and just pray. God will provide what you need.

start looking for a job immediately!
somehow, me, my sister, her best friend, and another friend of the family are all finding ourselves newly unemployed for the new year .. i think sometimes it takes a period of being unemployed, or struggling, for us to figure out what we really want to do.
a lot of people are stuck in jobs they don't enjoy at all b/c they're too afraid to leave.

Hey, you know what, sometimes, one door closes while a new one opens, and more often than not...a better door opens! I came across this poster sometime back, it says "You will start to do REAL things when you are doing NOTHING!" I know it sounds weird. But for me, I joined a company mid 2005 and it was a disaster. It was the wrong job fit and I really hated it. But it was difficult for me to just leave because I've been in the corporate life for 10 over years. But I still made the decision to leave and luckily for me, I was already trading forex part time and never did I thought that I would be doing forex on a full time basis, which is something I really miss! I don't miss my corporate life and now, I coach people who are keen to build wealth through forex and find a better sense of achievement when they are "independent" and trading on their own. When I first left, I felt lost and was not doing ANYTHING. But like the poster said, you start doing REAL things when you are doing NOTHING. And I realized that it is true because sometimes we are so wrapped up in our everyday lives that we forget to stop and see what exactly we are doing and what we want to do. Ok...I say too much. You will be fine, I'm sure!
