Diabetics........Give us guidance.

I am having diabetics for the last 5 years. Now a days it seems my sugar count in blood has increased like anything. I used to take pencilin injection every day. I am consulting a doctor every week and taking diets accordingly. Will you pls give some ideas to reduce the sugar?
