I just wanna ask you something. Don you have cooking books? you know its hard for the people here to give step by step guide to cooking. first we do not know from which country you are. I might give you a recipe with meat and its prohibited in your religion to eat meat:-) Anywa, i think the best way for you is to specify first what do you like to cook, pork, chicken, turkey, fish or just plain vegetables. You can also browse the internet. at least there you can rely the they are not goin to give you scam recipes:-)

Actually, the lasagna package should have not only the directions on how to cook the noodles, but often includes a recipe. No? Then cook the lasagna noodles according to directions, drain and put in pan of cool water. Hopefully by now you've cooked up some sauce. Which can come in a jar or can.. buy at least two. Better to have leftovers than run short. If you put meat in it, cook the meat first, then add the sauce, one already flavored. Now take a baking dish that you can lay the lasagna in. And has sides to it. put a cup or two of sauce at the bottom of the pan, covering the bottom. Put a layer of lasagna noodles over it. Layer over this grated mozzarella cheese, then sauce again, the noodles again, then cheese again, and keep going to top of pan, with cheese at the top. But leave a little roo. cover pan. Bake about 45 minutes at about 350 degtees. Buy a bag of salad maybe to go with this. Don't forgeyt yhe dressing. Oh yes, buy some fancy bread.. maybe garlic from the bakery section... buy some candles, and a tablecloth? Good luck! Spaghetti would be much easier for a first time cook! Same sauce, follow directions for noodles.

Polish Style Lasagna SUBMITTED BY: Kim "Rich with potatoes, pasta, onion, butter and cream cheese, this pierogi-like dish is the best! It's also quick and easy to make. Serve with your favorite vegetable." INGREDIENTS 9 uncooked lasagna noodles 1 onion, sliced 1/2 cup butter 2 2/3 cups dry potato flakes 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain, pat dry and interleave in a damp towel to keep moist OR spray each noodle with cooking spray OR lightly apply some oil. In a separate large skillet over medium heat, combine the onions with the butter and saute for 5 minutes. Prepare the instant mashed potatoes according to package directions, but omit the milk. Stir in the cream cheese until well blended. Place 3 noodles in the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread 1/2 the potato mixture over the noodles in the dish. Top this with 3 more noodles, followed by the other 1/2 of the potato mixture. Finish by topping with the remaining 3 noodles, then top those with sauteed onions. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until bubbly. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before cutting. Easy Four Cheese Lasagna SUBMITTED BY: Witched "This makes a very authentic tasting lasagna, rich, cheesy and very filling." INGREDIENTS 16 ounces uncooked lasagna noodles 1 (26 ounce) can spaghetti sauce 1 pound cottage cheese 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese 8 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. In a blender or with an electric mixer, blend tomato sauce and cottage cheese together until smooth. Spoon a little of the sauce mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Place a layer of cooked noodles over the sauce, and sprinkle a portion of the mozzarella, the cheddar and the parmesan over the noodles. Repeat layering of sauce, noodles and cheese; finish with a cheese layer. Bake in preheated oven 30 to 45 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Here's an EASY one! Cook fettucine noodles until they're kind of crisp tender. Don't let them get too mushy. In a large bowl, melt a stick of butter (or half if you only cook half a box of noodles). When it's melted, add some basil and parsley. Stir in the noodles. Add fresh parmesan chees and stir. It comes out very tasty. You can have it with a green veggie or a loaf of frozen garlic bread.

My lasagne rocks. I'm half Italian, so it better. I'll give you the EASY way: Get 2 boxes of lasagne noodles that the box specifically says "no boil" Put a layer in your baking dish, literally SOAK it with spaghetti sause. Next a layer of your choice of cheese, most folks use mozzarella Next a layer of browned hamburger/sausage (i use a mixture of both but you don't have to) Next more noodles, again SOAK them in sause Repeat Next add your ricotta (some use 1 cup cottage cheese mixed with 1 large egg and 1 cup parmesean) Next, add more meat and sauce Next, add more noodles, sauce and cheese. I recommend using a combination of cheeses: mozzarella, colbyjack and romano Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to an hour. About 15 minutes before it's done, slide the garlic bread in the oven to brown--top shelf set on Broil--this will not hurt the lasagne, but you will want to watch it so your bread does not burn. Everyone loves my lasagne except my husband who can't stand lasagne noodles, so I make his separate in a baking dish layered with macaroni...don't ask, I never did. lol Good luck on your dinner date. Oh yeah, serve with salad or cooked greens.

Get a cookbook. Better homes and Gardens Cookbook is a good basic one that can be found in just about any store. Find a recipe you would like to make (In this case lasagna) and read the instructions several times. Then read them again. Get the ingredients. Prepare the meal as per the instructions. Give your self plenty of extra time because you do not know what you are doing. It is a shame that you never learned how to cook. I grew up in a family that required us to learn all of the basic life skills. Cooking, cleaning and yes even sewing. It makes you a well rounded independent person. Good Luck! In the future try practicing first before you invite someone over.

You aren't along, we have a son who is 24 and we never could get him to clean his room. It was always a mess. He went on a trip with a church group once and I took around 18 bags of trash out of his room. I has had apartments and lived it a group thing (Wickin (sp)) for a while. The group broke up and moved their seperate ways and he left a lot of important thing behind to be thrown away the trash. Moving out of yet another apartment now, bet he leaves behind a bunch of time too. Some kids grow out of it hopefully..

A little late but you could buy your self a Crock Pot, a little cook book comes with it. You can peel some potatoes, carrots, onions, on he bottom, buy a small roast to lay on top, add enough water to cover the potatoes and carrots. A little salt and pepper. Set it hi and leave it alone for several hours and you have yourself a meal..Read the cookbook..

Here's the deal. Read this closely to save yourself in this predicament. Order takeout of lasagna from a small family-owned Italian restaurant and put it on your own plate. Discard the packaging of the takeout food. Make a slight mess of ingredients in the kitchen so it looks like you cooked in there. Then reheat in oven set on warm. Serve to your girlfriend. And you will be rewarded by her. Trust me.

you can go to the store and buy the ready to bake noodles. place them in the bottom of the pan, cover it with some spaghitti sauce and hamburger that you fried before hand and with some ( 16oz. ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup parma. cheese,8 oz bag mozarella cheese) that you mixed together in a bowel with 1 egg. then keep doing that in layers till you get it to the thickness you want and top with sauce and plain mozarella cheese. If you want a large lasagna you may want to double all the cheeses and egg.
