Hi there.
I dicided to open this discussion to know which are the programs you use daily to chat with other people.
In my case, I use MSN Messenger to chat with friends, family... they're the ones I know better and some online friends I've met throught the years I have cable net.
I've been always using mIRC since I got cable net to visit some channels where I have some 'virtual people' known if I can talk like this.
When I'm in front of my pc (like right now) they are always turned on so I can reach other people and be reached by them almost immediatly.
What about you?

I have quite a few instant messaging accounts. I have a YM account for personal use, a skype account for company use in my previous job, an X-IM account for my client's use in my current job, and a Gtalk account for a friend who requested me to get one coz she seldom uses YM.

Msn was great for me. Then all of a sudden it messed up my entire computer. I'm not using it now. I don't even want to start a new one, as I am too busy for chats now.

you have friends that use all the different ones like AIM, YAHOO, and MSN, you're best off using like a universal IM, try download.com and look for one. I had one once and it was very helpful and took up less space . ICQ...I don't have it now because everyone seems to have Yahoo but I think ICQ is great. It has alot of options, wallpapers, just different things that I like. It's all a matter of preference and what you want with an IM program.

I usually choose yahoo messenger although I have MSN messenger as well, but I have no contacts there and its not user friendly. Yahoo messenger are easy to use,its user friendly features are something with I like most in that messenger. Its simple and you can get as many friends as you have. You can meet a lot of people and chat with different class of people by just going to their community.

The messenger that I use the most is AIM, simply because most of my family and friends have it. I've used Yahoo in the past, but had a lot of problems with it. I've also used MSN, which I feel is a good instant messenger. My parents still use ICQ. I really wish I could get them to switch, but they are set in their ways, I guess.

I prefer msn messenger. it's nice, easy and famous. Everyone has an account on it!
I can talk to all my friends and people that I need talk something important quickly. I know that are a lot of other instant messaging system better than msn messenger but they don't have the same tool or interface that msn menssenger has.

I use MSN Messenger at home, and gmail talk at work.

I prefer a program called Trillian. It has the best of all worlds. I can connect to IRC, MSN, Yahoo, AIM, Jabber, and ICQ all at once in one neat little program. It's wonderful!
