for me it depends on the two lesbians what they want theyre child to call them..if the kid is used with calling the other as his/her DADDY, just fine right..anyway its just the how the kid calls them..as long the kid knows how to respect. besides..still both parents right even the DADDY is a lesbian, the important thing is the upbringing of the child to be a nice citizen..i rather want DADDY call...than calling my parents by name only...

I have a funny story about this one. Someone at work knows two lesbians with a child, and they were at Disneyland one time and the child says, "Daddy!" to a man walking by. The moms told her, "You have no daddy."
I think the child would just call them both mom (like Mommy "name" and Mommy "other name"). But perhaps if the biological father was known, they should be told eventually who that was.

They will both be called "mom" or "mommy".
There is not "daddy" in the family, and to call one of the women "daddy" would end up being confusing to the child; there is nothing wrong with having 2 mommies, so why make the child think that there is? There are a lot of resources out there (books, DVD's) for gay couples to use to help their children understand and learn how to deal with the questions and prejudices that they will be sure to encounter as they grow up and go through school.

Who said the child has to call anyone of them "Daddy"? The child could call both of them "mom," or have a nickname for one of the mothers.
I'm a nanny, and the two children I care for call both of their grandmothers "Howie." You don't have to use traditional naming for family members.
I think this is a ridiculous question, its a question that should be left for the families to decide.
