at work. Contract finished today. Shite time of year too. And the work I specialise in is very few and far between. But I am going to be positive and soldier on!

You must be pretty good at what you do so hopefully something will crop soon for you. With the Dostar project were you contracted by chanel 9 or with and external company?. Have you ever had anything to do with digital media company www.squarei.com.au they have a pretty cool site.
Anyways just wanted to wish the best.

Morning ozzie, yep, I was contract, they will do another series but that won't happen till end next year beginning the following year. Squarei worked for us, lol. Great bunch of guys. Thanks for your well wishes, hope you had a great weekend. Happy MONDAY at work, hehe!

Good luck at finding a new job peizli!!
I just found out that apparently my work is closing down the office I work in and giong to be making room for us at the other office (which is miles away from me!), but the whole point of us having this office was because there's not enough room over there!
So I hope it doesn't happen for a while yet so I can have some time to find a new job!
I shall try and be positive like you and we can solider on together :)

Hi BELMC, I worked in an animation studio producining a new childrens TV show to be on channel 9 screening next year. Can do graphics so will concentrate on CS suite to update/refresh computer skills. By the way, I thought your friends work was fantastic. Thanks for your positive comment. Have a great day.

How rotten is that to finish work just before Christmas peizli but look on the bright side of it. I am sure that there is something bigger and better coming along for you and I am sure that you will enjoy having a little bit of a holiday until that time.

Aah well, like I said I knew when my contract was up. In a way it could be a blessing in disguise, son starts high school next year so at least I am aroung for the BIG transition (for both of us). Going to plan every day so I don't get loopy. Thanks for your positive words. Will keep you all posted on progress. Have a lovely day!

Bugger,it certainly is bad timing to lose your job now.Staying positive is the way to go.They say as soon as one door closes another one opens.I hope you have more luck finding a job than I've had.Just put yourself out there and make your presence known and I'm sure something will come along soon.Good luck!

Morning ausnikki, yep bugger, bugger. It was contract work so I knew when I was finishing, the hard part was I had deadlines every week which made it hard to look for anything else, and I have worked on and off with this studio for 7 years so I was not going to leave them before end of contract. Will keep you all posted on progress. Have a great day.

Oh, peizli! I'm so sorry to hear you lost your job. Good for you for keeping a positive attitude! I admire you. I have the hardest time keeping a positive attitude about anything.
