I got burned with hot boiling coffee, Any idea what to put on my burn skin?

Its hurt like a hell, And I had to soaked my hands with cold water all night long, otherwise its burning hot. And I think Im pass to the main pain. Now I have to deal with blister maybe in the next 12 to 24 hours.
Any idea how to care of burn skin?
I dont want it to become a bad scar.
Please help, Thanks!

i think toothpaste (not the gel) is supposed to be good for burns. one time i burned my palm from touching a scalding hot pot, and one of my mom's friends put toothpaste all over my hand. of course, its pretty annoying cause you cant touch anything for a while, but it helps and it soothes the pain.

Well, well, well, Toothpaste does not help at all, any lotion gel or cream/creme. Nothing works than cool water for the whole 8 hours and 100% aloe vera gel with tea extract and lidocaine. I got it from walmart. I have tried toothpaste it felt burn more so I have to wash it, I put some A&D ointment it felt burn like hell, then I had to wash it again, this time I soak my burning arms on and off for all day with cool water, Otherwise if I did not soak my burning arm, It would hurt that I can't stand it, Mann what a relief it was everytime I soak my arm with cool water for the whole shift, then when I get home, I quickly run to the bathroom and grab and aloe vera gel with tea extract and lidocaine what a relief right away the pain quits. Whew! I can breatht this time. So I have my own experience.
for first degree burning skin no, no, no, no for lotion, any kind of creme, 'cuz cream retains heat and it is going to burn more. So to stop the burning please use top cool water. And aloe vera plant of gel. Trust me the next day my skin looks good. It did not blister at all.

well, u know what; honey is one of the best medicines to treat burns...apply some honey over the skin...it won't pain unlike many other medicines and whats more, the burn will usually heal without any scar! try it...it worked for me...anyway, it can't make things worse at least:) but do consult a doctor if u can...

ya use some medicines for burning and in my opinion you use some toothpaste on burning place . and i think it is good for burning .

To ease the pain, put some cold tomato in the burned area. About the scar, i think you have to consult medication for that. Take care.^^
