How many people prefer one over the other. Over the years I have developed a massive preference for NCAA football. I have found that even though NFL players are professionals, they don't play as hard because by that time, the game is just a job. The college game, on the other hand, consists of players trying hard and putting on a good show.

I will disagree and say that I prefer the NFL for one simple reason.
A playoff.
The BCS is a scam, and therefore, college football is not a sport.

Sure there is a playoff. It starts at the beginning of the season. Go undefeated and you have a great shot at playing in the National Championship game.

I like college football alot better. I think the overall atmosphere of college football is better then in the NFL. For example, that college fans are more lively and more into the game then in the NFL fans. And also the marching bands in college makes it a better experience going to a game. As well there is alot more history and tradition in college football schools like Notre Dame had good football programs before anyone cared about the NFL

A agree, the NFL is professional, a profession, a job, and it sometimes looks like it. Play calling is safe and conservative, whereas in college you see more innovation and willingness to take chances. And college players are going all out to do their best, so that they can impress scouts and become professionals.

i am more of a college football fan than an NFL fan. sure i like the NFL and they are professionals but i like the kids playing every thursday. for one thing a loss in college football would lessen your chances of being a ntional champion, two losses woudl doom it completely. in the NFL a wild card team, one who did not win its division, can go all the way. and thats pretty crumby.

You're right. NCAA is much better. Its more heart, more exciting. It's the sam reason people like NCAA basketball. They play like its their last chance to play because for most of them it is. Its also more fun to watch the kind of plays that are old school and work much better in lower levels of football sincce all the players in the NFL are SOOOOO good, they negate some of the plays that are more fun.

I am an avid college football fan. Much prefer it to the NFL because of the passion people carry for their teams. With no NFL teams in Alabama, Alabama and Auburn rule the sports scene in this state. The rivalry is intense and a 365 day a year battle. You just don't get that in the NFL.
