I just made these today. I always get lots of compliments on it.
Cake cookies
1 box of cake mix... any flavor (lemon cake is very good)
4 oz Cool Whip
1 egg
Mix dough well. It will be very stiff. Roll into balls.
Roll balls in your choice of powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, nuts, sprinkles or whatever you want.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Let cool.
These are wonderfull with red and green sprinkles on them for Christmas.

Thanks for the recipe. I am from Australia though and about to show my ignorance. What is cool whip? is it like butter or milk or cream? I haven't seen anything like this on our shelves. We make a mean biscuit (cookie) called ANZAC biscuits. They are 1cup rolled oats/1 cup desicated coconut/ 1/2 cup sugar/1/2 self raising flour/milk. Add together and put in (moderate)oven. yummm

My favorite brownies are super easy. You just mix 1 box of chocolate cake mix, 1 large box of instant pudding, 2 c milk and a bag of chocolate chips. Pour into a greased and floured (I use bakers joy)jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees or until the brownies don't jiggle when you shake the pan. Cool and dust with powdered sugar. Yummy!

We made these today with Duncan Hines French Vanilla. They turned out great. The kids really loved them. We rolled them in powdered sugar before baking. I'm going to make more using a chocolate cake mix and chocolate Cool Whip...can't wait!

These sound absolutely delicious, and I will definately be making these this Holiday season. My kids and I make cookie plates and baskets as gifts for the holidays, and these will be a nice addition to our collection. Thank you for the recipe and have a wonderful holiday season!

These sound great. My favorite is Chocolate Chip but they have to be flat and chewy and crispy, like bakery cookies ... it took me years to find the recipie -- and I improved on it.
It's at http://bestdesserts.blogspot.com/
The only thing I have on the blog ...LOL
If I ever get time to work on this again, I'll add yours.

i have never tried the cool wip version , tho I love the cake mix cookies !! here is my version
1 box cake mix
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil OR butter/margerine
mix well and scoop with spoon or med sz ice cream scoop onto ungreased cooie sheet, bake at 350 for 10-12 min for chew cookies or 14 min for crisp cookies
i like using the tripple chocolate fudge one from betty crocker and adding an extra bag of choclate chips and a bag of heath bits , yea my baking is very over the top LOL but what can i say i have a sweet tooth
oh yea ya can bake a bunch of the fruit flavored mixes and fancy them up with that white candy coating or almond bark by dipping the cookies in 1/2 way after they have cooled , lol no one will be the wiser ;) great for teacher or anyone gifts !

Oh, my! These do sound delicious. I will have to try these. I like to make peanut butter cookies, smashing the fork pattern on top and then sprinkle sugar on them before baking. I used to bake a lot at the holidays, but it seems like now there just isn't much time for it anymore.
