I feel like Im in "Nocurteousyville" Everywhere I go publicly there is a problem! When Im being waited on at certain places, I dont get a hello or a smile even. I mean I dont expect a conversation but its nice when your greeted by an employee with a smile or a hello especially when your spending your hard earned money on buying the products they sell. I feel like a burden almost. It just seems like so many people are so hateful anymore. It takes more work from your face muscles to frown than it does to smile people! If your not willing to interact KINDLY to people, then why take a job working with the public? I do understand having to take work where you can, especially where I live. So why not make an effort to do a good job and make others feel good? I really would like your feed back on this......am I over reacting? Do you think Im expecting too much as a consumer? Thanks all!

Girl, I just had this same discussion with my neighbor this morning. I hate how rude people are. I swear if they're not giving you dirty looks, they're just being plan hateful. Honestly how big of hurry are you in to not be able to hang onto the door for just a sec longer rather than letting it slam in my face. I also hate going into the grocery store next to my house because the high school kids who work there never even look up at you. I manage to chew the inside of my jaw and get a how are you out, but with nothing in return. I totally agree with you, if you don't like your job, get a new one, but for the love of everything find your manners. This is in all settings of our everyday life.

Thats exactly what Im talking about! I live in a small town, isnt that where the courteousy is supposed to be?? I got more friendly treatment when I lived in a big city! Smiles and friendliness go a long way! It makes a person feel good, and in return makes someone else feel good. Its a chain reaction, but here all the only kind of reaction that is going around is rudeness!

Thank you! Im really happy to hear that. I have done some work from home with East Coast consumers and they were very friendly on the phone. Most wanted to carry on talking with me and were very welcoming. Im in the Midwest, they just seem so rude and unfriendly. :( thanks for your reply
