What makes you believe in GOD?

I am personally an atheist and i cannot understand what makes so many people believe in a higher being that in my humble opinion doesn't make sense

I believe in God because of my own life. I believe there is a reason I am on this planet and that there is something bigger then myself out there and what I believe in God fits that. I look around myself and can't imagine that this world all of it was created from just a bang...something had to create that bang.
