I'm really enchanted by all the gourmet cupcakes I see on the TV news. I may buy a cupcake tree at Michael's.
My problem is I live with someone that doesn't like cupcakes, and I sure shouldn't be eating a whole bunch of cupcakes by myself. I need to find some cupcake buddies.
Chocolate is my favorite. Though I certainly wouldn't turn down cherry or carrot cake cupcakes either.

I love cupcakes, they are so good. I have never had a carrot cake cupcake, I am gonna have to try to make them, I like carrot cake. My grandmother actually makes cupcakes inside icecream cones and the kids love them, and it's good too cuz then their hands don't get as messy too.

How does she do that? Does she plop the cupcake onto the cone after it's baked and then frost it? It sounds good. I'm just trying to visualize it.

No, she actually pours the batter in the cone, fill it 2/3 to 3/4 of the way up. They are adorable.

You place the cones in the cupcake holes in the cupcake pan and then fill them up 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full. Sorry, I wasn't clear at first.

Go ahead and make the cupcakes. Then freeze them for yourself. That way you will only take one when you are in the mood.

Well now you know. You can freeze just about anything. Have a great day.

That's a great idea. Once someone gave me a half sheet of cheesecake from a banquet. I threw out most of it, only to find out later I could have frozen it. Doh! You'd think I would learn. I gave half of it to a friend who thought to freeze hers and she was still enjoying cheesecake months later.

I have made Margarita Cupcakes and Tequila sunrise cupcakes from the Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World cookbook - and they were both really good. I've posted links to the two recipes. I'm waiting to try out the rose pistachio cupcakes when I get moved into my new place.

I love those cupcake trees and I keep looking at them in the store but I won't spend the money, plus I don't know where I'd keep it. But I love to make cupcakes instead of a big cake. I've done that for a couple of my son's birthday parties. At his 4th birthday I made cupcakes with half chocolate and half white icing and put clown face pics in them and lined them up by color on a circular tray. This one really pretentious mom wanted to know who had done them and was shocked when I answered yours truly.
I haven't gotten into any kind of gourmet cupcake, but I just love the ease of not having to cut a cake, and they are pretty cute to look at too. Maybe I'll use a Michael's or Hobby Lobby coupon one week to get that stand.

Surpisingly I haven't heard of a cupcake tree before. I'll have to look it up online, sounds neat! I love making cupcakes. You can freeze them, or give them to family or friends?
