Any good tips? I just don't think that I would be able to do it cold turkey. I tried joining quitnet and that just didn't work. Should I use some kind of quit smoking aid?

It is not easy to quit smoking. I also not sure this few method work or not, I just heard from a friend of my boy friend. He smoke for around 6 years but he have quit it recently. These are thetips that he told me. 1) get ready some sweet in your pocket, eat it when you few like want to smoke. There are some antismoke sweet is better. 2) Always do exercise 3) Find something to do and don't let yourself too free. This will let you forgot to smoke.

Thanks. I guess the exercise keeps you busy so you don't think about smoking? Or, to keep off the pounds that you gain from smoking?

I quit smoking using Smokeaway. I also had a lot of hard candy around the house for a long time. SmokeAway also has a website that you can go to. On this website they have a online support group that may help you in your quit. You can also go to www.whyquit.com and get some more information. Here is Smokeaway's website: www.smokeaway.com

Zyban helped me quit smoking for a year. I stupidly started back up due to stress and my husband smoking. I have cut way down now though as my Mom is living with us and we can't smoke in the house due to her health problems. I often go most of the day without smoking.

I'm in the process of quitting now by going cold turkey. In the past I've used the patch, and it was helpful at first, but once you are at the point where you have to stop using it, its like going cold turkey from there as far as the nicotine withdrawl goes. It does help get you out of the habit of physically smoking. I'm also flushing my system by drinking a lot of water and green tea. By the end of the day, I will have drank over a gallon of water, and 5 tall cups of tea. As this is day 1 for me, I can't speak for the long term success, but I haven't had any major nic fits today.

I wish you the best in your quit. I have tried unsuccessfully a few times. Maybe I wasn't really ready for it. I am sick of spending so much money on this stupid habit, though.
