One of my favorite movies and books is 'The Notebook' by Nicholas Sparks. I honestly think the movie was better than the book and normally I don't go this way. I always prefer the book over the movie. What do you think?

I first saw The Notebook if I'm wrong three years ago and it was love at first sight. Since then I think I've seen for two or three times and finally I decided to read the book, written by Nicholas Sparks. I must admit that man has created imaginative and very beautiful love story, he is also author of A Walk to Remember, a book that I read it all after seeing the movie. But have to admit that his books after the movies in my opinion are better than books.
Speaking at The notebook I just have to say that style I did not liked, and how you put all the events are arranged in the fog. Usually when you watch a movie adapted from a book you need to have read that book to understand some things before. This was totally opposite.Probably if I had not seen the movie I gave the book to read. Another part which I liked the novel was the lack of dialogue. Not the sort of person who can not read a novel without dialogue but still kind of book worth more dialogue, especially between Allie and Noah.
I think there is no point in talking about the book and say that I liked and I would not spoil the beauty of stories. In conclusion, the story is brilliant, what a break is the style of approach, but the movie is not the problem, on the contrary. There are some missing elements in the book and to my surprise I enjoyed. Here I refer to the fact that at the beginning of their relationship, any quarrel, but they also loved each other tremendously. Also how Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams have played the roles of Noah, Allie respectively, have brought a romantic story. I honestly do not see anyone else in these roles.

I bought this movie because I love it. I read the book too and I enjoyed the movie more than the book.

Well, I have never read the Book yet on this Movie so I have nothing to base this movie on, but I have read some of John Grisham's that have turned into Movies as well as some of Stephen Kings. It is interesting to see what differences their usually are, and yes, a lot of the time, the books have more in them that the movies seem to miss.

i loved both the book and the movie, and i cried during both of them. i really like the movie too, and i have to say that a lot of movies made after books are not always so good. i thought the da vinci code movie was kind of lame compared to the book which was amazing. but anyway, i think the notebook is just a special movie because you could really see the relationship from the book played out on the screen in front of you. they did a really good job with it, and it pretty much went along with most of the book as well. i dont think ive ever cried so much from a movie before!
