I work in a call center for a small to medium large company. Yes it can be stressful the company I work for is in the US and there are many people that I talk with on a daily basis that speak English fine, but they have a very strong accent, and that makes them hard to understand, and I am trying to provide them support and answer their questions.

After graduation, I applied to call centers online without knowing the real background or what you will really do after you will pass all the test but I tried my luck and I'm happy that I did not pass it because I don't have the confidence with my english accent. After landing my first job, I asked my colleagues if what is their opinion about call center and they said that it is very stressful because of the schedule and they are afraid if they will not meet the quota. Call centers has a good pay but I think not all company will give that to their employees.

I have passed several call center companies already, but I all turned them down. I am afraid that I may not stand the pressure and stress that comes with the job. I am an emotional person, one reason why I don't think I am capable of working in call centers. I admire those people who are working in call centers for long, they have withstand tremendous stress. Thumbs up to all of you!

yes call centre jobs are very stranious indeed.ittakes a lot of stamina indeed.specially if you are working in night shifts the you are surely going to face a lot of problems.people with good health and high adaptability should only go for it.because you have to attend calls ,maintain composure,as well as work late at night and not fall asleep.so although call centre jobs have a high payout but they are very stressful indeed

i keep my husband looking for a call center job now and it seems he wasn't that lucky enough for this year:) He choose it because we think that it's our last chance aside from getting outside of the country where he could have a better pay. I think he was challenge enough to learn those different accents foreign people speak. We know that working in a call center company is very stressful and you must be ready especially your emotional well being. I'd like to work in a call center too but I might as well try online opportunities first or consider getting a job abroad:)

These people are using the telephone to make "outgoing" telephone calls for sales, research or information verification. They also handle web site sales by answering live web site requests from people looking to purchase on the Web.

You do get a good pay...It is stressful becoz
1. You work in night shifts so your health is affected
2. Women employees have the need to travel thru cabs during odd hours and hence it is insecure
3. Mind will rest in peace during night only... (I mean sound sleep).. So even if you sleep during the day u might still feel tired and restless
4. You will be shut from the outside world...
